1/8- This past season saw Alex rush for 1033 yards and 13 TD; defensively he tallied 94 tackles and 4 sacks. He won the Piner Award (Top Linebacker in Nassau County), the Jay Fiedler Award (Scholar Athlete Award) and the Thorp Award (Top player in Nassau County).

8/20 - Saw Alex today at practice and he improved his speed and quickness from last season.

Most of the stars from last fall as gone and Alex will be asked to carry the team in 2007. As a running back he is very difficult to bring down. On defense he swarms to the ball and always plays to the whistle. In 2006 he was 3rd team ALL-State and 1st Team All Long Island  by LI BLITZ and Newsday.

Recruiting News:

1/29 - On his recent weekend recruiting trip, Alex made it official and committed to Lafayette next season.

1/23 - Talked to Coach Mascia the other day and he mentioned that Alex has two visits left, Lehigh and Lafayette. He has also narrowed his choices down to Lehigh, Lafayette, and Princeton.

1/8- The latest reports have Hofstra, Lafayette, Lehigh, Princeton, Columbia, Massachusetts and Rhode Island as his top suitors.

8/15 - Coach Mascia has informed us that Alex is heavy receiving interest from the Ivy Leagues and a couple A10 programs (UMASS and Rhode Island). He also reported that Alex performed outstanding in their preseason testing, bench pressing 275lbs fifteen times and he squatted 315lbs a remarkable forty times.
