2009 LI BLITZ.COM Player of the Year

Kevin Allen - RB/LB - Freeport

Allen was simply amazing this year as he set the Nassau County single season record for touchdowns with 35, breaking the record of former Mepham High School star Amos Zeroue. He rushed for an astonishing 2141 yards on 333 carries, almost 6.5 yards per carry. During the playoffs Allen separated himself from the crowd when he rushed for 1097 yards and 17 TDs, and he also passed for 288 yards and 4 TDs. During the season he was named LI BLITZ.COM's Nassau County Player of the Week a record 5 times. He also led Freeport to a 10-2 record and their first Long Island Championship since 2003.

Kyle Madden - Half Hollow Hills West

Coach Madden lead the Colts to a perfect 12-0 record and their first ever Long Island Championship. The Colts outscored their opponents by an average of 33 to 13. In the Championship game Hills west defeated Lawrence 42-32.

Garden City Trojans - 12-0

The Trojans used a dominating defense, a punishing ground attack and an opportunistic passing attack on route to an undefeated season and the Long Island Championship, the third. On the season the Trojans averaged 29.6 pts/g, while giving up 2.3 pts/g. Garden City started the year off with 5 straight shutouts and finished the season with 9 total shutouts.
